A few weeks ago Shan posted a web site she enjoys visiting. I had never heard of it, but I now visit it daily. It is called "Dollar Store Crafts". Some of the ideas are so cute and fun. I just wish I had time to do them.
April 22nd is Earth day here in Canada (not sure if it is different in the US). I have plans for a post for that day but I saw this on the Dollar Store Crafts web site and I had to pass it on. It is a pattern for a reusable swiffer duster. How cool and eco friendly is that! This is one project that I will do.

Dollar store crafts...and earth day...I'm just wondering...OK, here: when I was in University and was procative and all that, you know, no bananas from Chile and stuff, we boycotted dollar stores because really, they're not good. But now that I'm a mom and poor, let's face it, pertually busted, I go. So...sorry to rain on the parade. Still, great craft ideas. (forgive me?)
i hate hate hate using my swiffer, because it goes against everything green that I know (it was a gift from my well meaning grandfather) well... that and my huge kitchen uses at least 2 pads. i've been wanting to make some reusable covers. i could use old towels, too. thanks for posting this. maybe it will help me get my mop in gear.
Its okay Erin, I forgive you :) It is true the Dollar Store is an ethical mine field but I think most stores are these days. I ended up buying microfiber clothes from the SuperStore to make these and they are made in China (of course).
Absolutely love the craft link...I'm a dollar store junkie unfortunately, with the daycare it's the best place to shop for cheap stuff to amuse my kiddies!
