This is a photo of him from last night.
Honestly the kid looks so much older. So much more mature. And slightly more devious! I love his new hair cut but OH MY GOD! Where did my baby go!?And to add insult to my sadness at my baby growing up in one day - The night after his hair cut M came to me upset. It was bed time and M has always been a hair twirler. It is so cute, he twirls his hair in his fingers while he falls asleep. And with his short hair can't twirl his hair. I HAD INADVERTENTLY REMOVED MY CHILD'S SLEEP AID! By the time his hair grows back he will probably be so used to sleeping without twirling, he will never have to do it again. AAAHHH I loved that he twirled his hair. It was so cute. UGH Good move Mommy!

love the hair cut. you're right, it does make them seem to age in a split second doesn't it. though my heart broke a little to find out that he twirled to get to sleep and now he doesn't have it anymore. just another stage of growing up i guess. how was his sleep?
He is okay going to sleep, it only took a few nights. But it is taking him longer to fall asleep, which drives me nuts. And I totally deserve it!
Oh, no! Okay first of all, he looks adorable with his new haircut - but I'm like you - I hate getting my boys their haircuts! I'm always telling the hairdresser "Just a little.. not too much... okay that's good... stop!" It's emotional for me, for some reason - especially the first hair cut! How sad, though, about the hair twirling... :(
The new cut is so cute! He does look older!
He's cute either way, but definitely no longer a baby.
OOo he looks so cute! My boy has curly hair (like me) but I cannot imagine allowing a buzz cut. He is so a curly haired boy! Now I am reconsidering since you son looks awesome with shorter hair!
J grows up with each haircut. I would have felt bad too if I took away a sleep aid, but since he asked for his hair cut that should alleviate the guilt for you.
he's still adorable
Awww..I like curly hair too..but sometimes its better to have short hair in the summer.
LOL@the shoes in the first picture.:)
i can't get over how much older he looks!!! Isn't it crazy what a hair cut can do?!?!?
I too have been going back and forth about doing the buzz cut. Thing is G is your surfer dude/rocker through and through. His hair is almost part of his personality. I've been thinking about it mainly because he sucks his thumb and twirls his hair and he wants to give up sucking his thumb. I figured if he didn't have hair it might help the temptation at least a little.
I love M's new do!!
It is cute, but my Jelly Bean has long hair (Think those little twin boys on Full House a bazillion years ago...the ones who grew up to be Zack and Cody?) and I canNOT imagine cutting it.
But of course, if he asked me to, I would. And no beating yourself up about 'taking away his sleep aid', because look girl. EVEN if you had thought about it before hand, you probably still would have let him get his hair cut. He asked for it!
Well consider yourself lucky that he was using his hair to twirl. Owen falls asleep twirling my hair...now unless I shave my head (never gonna happen) we are facing a bit more of a challenge. I still love laying with him and letting him twirl away so it's not that bad but maybe when he's 5 or 6 we'll have to figure something out. M. looks adorable!
You MUST get him a wig, for the twirling. Hee.
I love the curls, too. Same thing happened with my Niblet last fall (I buzzed his hair way off), and that's when I bought him a monkey hoodie with ears for his school photo.
Haircuts do that - one second you have a little wee child in front of you and the next? THIS BOY. But he looks great! Very manly.
See now, I am going to print this out and force Beloved to read it. He has been on me to cut Lucas's hair for months, and I cannot, will not, sacrifice those curls!!!
(M's a cutie no matter what, tho!)
