Moving along

Amazingly the day seems to have arrived when D2 will nap for 1.5 hour stretches. It is such a relief to finally have a small break each day to do something for myself. I honestly had no idea when his napping would get better and I was prepared to wait for months, this timing is perfect.

I have started to make weekly check lists of things I want to accomplish. I try to do at least one thing a day (on top of the regular, clean kitchen, do laundry). But I don't stress myself out if I can't or if an item finds itself carrying over to the next weeks list. Some items are small, like vacuum, some are bigger, like organize a yard sale. I have decided to have a yard sale on June 5th and it turns out it is a perfect day (lets hope the weather co-operates) because it is also our community yard sale day. Fingers crossed I can get rid of some stuff with the added bonus of a bit of making a bit of money.

I figure I should check in.

I am finding it very hard to find time to blog these days. D2 doesn't like to nap by himself. If I lay with him he will nap for an hour or two. If I leave him alone he naps for 2o minutes. Today he had his 4month immunizations so I am hoping he will nap a bit longer.

It isn't that I don't want to write blog posts, a new post topic pops into my head about 5 times day. It isn't that I don't want to read blogs. I even had plans to start a second blog, a gardening one. But D2 is consuming most of my time these days. He is a wonderful child, happy, playful, but he likes to hang around me ALL.THE.TIME. His brother M was a very independent baby. He slept well from a very early age and when he was awake he was happy to play on his own for decent stretches of time. D2, not so much.

The other thing that is burning up my blog time is the state of my house. As I nurse D2, walk around with him, play with him, I see the clutter all around me. I don't have time to do anything about that clutter right now, but I see it, and it drives me nuts. At this point I can only keep up with laundry and the kitchen. And I keep telling myself that is enough. It will have to be enough until D2 start to have longer naps. Then I will be able to tackle some bigger projects. I have to admit that every free chance I get I am usually cleaning something, not that you could tell by the state of my house. So no time for blogging.

I guess what I am saying is that things will be light around here for the next little while. I will try to post when I can, and I will try to read when I can. I debated taking a blogging break, but I think sporadic posting will suit me better.
