I took a moment to weigh and measure myself last night. So here are the details
Weight: 166lbs
Waist: 39 inches
Hips: 47 inches
My BMI is 28.5 which is in the overweight category. I need to get down to 145lbs to have a normal BMI and my goal is to get to 140lbs. This is a weight I had achieved before I gave birth to M while on Weight Watchers.
This go around I don't have time for WW so I am tracking my food and exercise on an awesome (free!) online web site (and iPhone app) called MyFitnessPal. I really like this site and a lot of people I know use it. It has a social element to it, in that you friend people and we all keep track of each other and encourage each other. If you are looking for a food tracking tool give it a try. Friend me on it, I am twohandsfull.
I wasn't feeling up to before pictures last night but I do plan on taking some. I am not sure if I will post them here or not. Depends on how I feel once they are taken.
On the exercise front... I had planned on exercising last night after the kids were in bed. Best laid plans and all that. I fell asleep while laying down with M. Then when I woke up I had to rush to make the home made granola bars I wanted to make (we were out of the store bought ones). And neither boy likes them of course. Why do I even bother. I woke up a bit early today and D2 and I went down the basement to try and get some exercise in. I was doing okay until I lay on the ground to do my sit ups and D2 ran over and body slammed me and smothered me with kisses. It was awesome but didn't help me do my sit ups. Once Kevin got up I managed to get through one set of 6 different exercises before I gave up. It was getting time to get ready for work. Maybe I need to make more of an effort to work out at night. It is had though because I am so tired. But then if I exercised I probably wouldn't be so tired... Vicious cycle it is!
And now that I have posted it here, I plan on sticking to the plan... After I finish the peanut butter cookies a dear friend made me for my Birthday ;)

Go for it! I am with you on this quest. The pounds have crept in and they are not welcome. I will check out the app, though I don't have an iphone, I will hopefully find a tool that works for me too. Good luck!
You're a bold, brave woman! I got your comment about running but I have to say, I am NOT a runner. I'll do just about anything in the world to get out of running. So I'm definitely not an ideal training partner :).
One thing I DO do is go to yoga at the Blue Bamboo on a regular basis. I take some pilates and power yoga classes there that are about strength training and abs. They aren't exactly a calorie burning sweat fest but I like them because I can feel myself getting stronger and actually developing a waistline. Let me know if you're interested and I can tell you when I'm going, and we can go together!
I also love swimming...I was taking classes before March Break so I was going every week. Since then I haven't found a regular day and time to go but I'm interested in going back, if you'd like to do that. It's just the shaving that is SO annoying, but I'll still take that over running :).
Lunchtime exercise and my running clinics are key to my exercising. When I'm home, I want to be part of family life and my family seems to like that, too. Sometimes Reid and I exercise together. I think that counts for me as "being active" more than exercising but it's still good as I'm modeling good behaviour. I can't even imagine how it would be with more than one kid to distract me. You go, girl!
I use EA Sport Active 2 for Wii. They have a 9 week program you can follow. It also includes a journal where you can fill out surveys about your eating and sleeping habits. It helped me feel accountable. It also keeps track of your workouts (you're suppose to do 4 per week).
I also work out after the kids are tucked in. At first I found it very difficult to get up the energy but it does get easier. I like Active 2 so much that I found myself actually looking forward to going down to workout!
I wish you good luck and much success with this endeavour. I know it isn't easy but you will fill better in the end and the whole family will benefit!
You guys are all so impressive! Keep at it. It's an inspiration to all of us reading (while sitting on our butts!)
